Precession of the Equinoxes

Precession of the Equinoxes

precession
In astronomy, axial precession is a gravity-induced, slow and continuous change in the orientation of an astronomical body’s rotational axis. In particular, it refers to the gradual shift in the orientation of Earth’s axis of rotation, which, like a wobbling top, traces out a pair of cones joined at their apices in a cycle of approximately 26,000 years (called a Great or Platonic Year in astrology). The term “precession” typically refers only to this largest secular motion; other changes in the alignment of Earth’s axis – nutation and polar motion – are much smaller in magnitude.

Earth’s precession was historically called precession of the equinoxes because the equinoxes moved westward along the ecliptic relative to the fixed stars, opposite to the motion of the Sun along the ecliptic. This term is still used in non-technical discussions, that is, when detailed mathematics are absent. Historically, Hipparchus is credited with discovering precession of the equinoxes. The exact dates of his life are not known, but astronomical observations attributed to him by Ptolemy date from 147 BC to 127 BC.

With improvements in the ability to calculate the gravitational force between planets during the first half of the 19th century, it was recognized that the ecliptic itself moved slightly, which was named planetary precession as early as 1863, while the dominant component was named lunisolar precession. continue…

The astrological chart of Alexander The Great

alexanderthegreat

Alexander the Great is probably the biggest “Superstar” that ever existed on planet Earth! It is a non mythical – but flesh and blood – figure that has for entire millennia been fascinating millions of people all over the world! Still, to the disappointment of the astrologers, never a horoscope of this brilliant personality has ever been found. And we are very sure that astrologers DID erect Alexander’s chart (or at least studied the positions of his birth planets) because Alexander lived his whole continue…

Aries compatibility

Perfect harmony

Aries, you will be very often attracted to men who have the Ascendant or the Sun in Libra. Of course, it is likely that you will dominate them, but their charm will strike a balance, no pun intended… Your complementary nature is remarkable, and paradoxically enough, you are quite similar. Indeed, both Arians and Libras are enterprising, each of them in their own way, the former with enthusiasm and the will to conquer, and Libras, with the certainty that their aims can be achieved without effort…

Excellent harmony

Leo and Sagittarius men will gain your favours. You are delighted by Leos’ nobleness, as well as their powerful, warm and comforting drive. continue…

When to Find Love?

kiss_26What are these simple methods to know when to find love?

Check the transiting Venus and Mars positions (I)

Whenever the planet of love (Venus) and the planet of instinctive drives and desires (Mars) transit your Sun sign, romance can be in the air. These are periods in which attraction rules and when you can increase the odds of finding love.

Also, when both transiting planets are in a sign that trines your Sun sign (i.e transiting Venus and Mars are in a sign of the same element as your Sun sign), it’s a good time to find love.

The trine is a “no friction” aspect and love may enter your life “as unexpectedly as a thief in the night.”

THE DESCENDANT IN SIGNS

SIGNS ON THE CUSP OF THE 7TH HOUSE

 The Descendant in Aries

If Aries is the sign on the cusp of your 7th house then you’ll be attracted to fiery, courageous and “go getter” types. The part of yourself that you might not be in touch with is your more ambitious and selfish side so you’ll find yourself irresistibly drawn to a relationship with a love who can easily go after what he or she wants – especially you! Your partner will be highly sexual and passionate if Aries is the sign on your 7th house. In addition, with Aries in your 7th house you’ll find yourself entering into a committed love and sexual partnership quickly. This could be an indication of an early marriage. Your relationship will always have an element of heat and strife but if Aries is in your 7th house, that’s exactly how you prefer it.

Infidelity in the Natal Chart

inidelityCan you tell he’s a cheater, just by looking at his chart? Here are some indicators in that natal chart that may indicate infidelity. Taken alone, however, these aspects do not guarantee infidelity.

Moon square Venus:

This is especially true for men with this aspect. The Moon and Venus are feminine planets, and often play a role in the kind of partner we desire. The Moon represents our emotions and what makes us feel secure, while Venus represents how we give and receive love.

When Will You Marry

When Will You Marry?

by Rose Murray
(This article appeared originally as a guest article in Sydney Omarr’s Astrological Guide for You for 2001. I would like to share it with those who may have missed it the first time. Be sure also to see my latest guest article–“Your Lucky Stars for Wealth and Success”–in Sydney Omarr’s Astrological Guide for You in 2004, currently available in bookstores.)
Astrological clients always get around to the question sooner or later. Sometimes with eager interest. Sometimes with an offhanded shrug as if it didn’t matter at all. At times in desperation.

The truth is if they are single, divorced or widowed–no matter what the age–the odds are pretty heavy a client will ask some version of the following question during a consultation with an astrologer:

Sexual Promiscuity in the Natal Chart

sexual-astrology-compatibilityWhat do the stars have to say about your sexuality?

Mars/Venus square or opposite Jupiter in the natal chart

Mars and Venus are sexual planets, while Jupiter is the planet of expansion. With this aspect, your sex drive is strong, and you may feel you can never have enough sex. This can obviously lead to sexual promiscuity. Mars also represents impulsiveness, so you may tend to “jump in” to sexual situations without proper foresight. continue…

Well-Endowed

Astrology can give us tremendous insight into a variety of things about a man. What he finds beautiful, how he expresses his emotions, how he dresses, etc.. But can astrology determine whether your crush or boyfriend is packing heat? I say “yes”!

By observing the natal charts of famous, “well-hung” men, I identified key astrological factors that relate to the size of a man’s “member”.

There were a few planets and houses I knew I’d have to look out for:
